Then it kept editing items already in my order even though I wasn’t editing, I was adding another complete meal to it. The app keeps signing me out 12, 14 times while placing order. Placing a pickup order today was totally unacceptable. Paying in restaurant was a little difficult but was my 1st experience with the app. I’ve paid for a meal at the restaurant, and then today made my first pickup order thru the app. But going to the restaurant and using this poorly designed app are two different things.

I’ll start by saying I have enjoyed eating at Cracker Barrels all over the country for years. It may be better to call in your order than ever bothering with this app! Aside from these issues, there is very little customization for food and some options in store are simply not available on the app. I was able to complete the order through the “order as guest” but it blocked me once because my 1st name didn’t have enough characters? And then again because the cc needed a 4 digit year entered instead of the normal 2 digit year. When trying to sign in it gave no error message, but would not proceed to any other screen. I closed out the app to see if my account had set up anyway. I went through the process of setting up the info and hit the button to create the account and it just processed for several minutes with no sign of completing. The next time (on a different date) I tried to create an account. I tried to order as a guest since I did not have an account and it just froze up and I ended up having to call in my order. While the app has a nice look to it, it seems to work against the person who wants to place an order or pay for their meal.

They recently did an update to this app, but unfortunately they went with presentation over functionality.
